Mobile Shelving UK offer a wide range of high density storage systems, designed to meet the need of even the most demanding of applications.

Mechanically Operated Mobile Shelving

Mechanically Operated Mobile ShelvingThe majority of mobile shelving systems supplied are mechanically operated and moved by hand using a rotating hand wheel located at the front face of the storage system. To move the mobile shelving, the operator moves the hand wheel in either direction. By rotating the hand wheel in the required direction, the shelving units are moved along its tracks. Decorative end panels can be fitted to our mobiles to match your specific design and colour requirements.

Hand Operated Mobile Shelving

Hand Operated Mobile ShelvingHand operated mobile systems are probably the simplest of all the mobile shelving systems on offer. Where space is tight, usually 1m - 1.5m out from the wall to a minimum of 3m long, we replace the conventional hand wheel with a sturdy plastic handle. This is used to slide the mobiles apart rather than turning a hand wheel. Being that the mobiles bases are usually only one shelving bay deep, the rolling loads are kept to a minimum. Ideal for offices and schools.

Electrically Operated Mobile Shelving

Electrically Operated Mobile ShelvingElectrically operated mobile shelving, or electric mobile shelving, is ideal for affordable document, office and general purpose storage applications. This easy to operate, electrically powered mobile shelving system provides an effortless high density storage facility. Using the latest software and electronics our electrically operated mobile shelving glides each mobile base along via a touch pad or simple push button controller located at the end of each run of shelving. Safety devices and cut out circuits ensure operator safety at all times.

‘Slide a Side’ Mobile Shelving

Slide a Side Mobile ShelvingSlide a Side’ also known as ‘Roll-a-Side’ or even ‘Glide a Side’ mobile shelving is ideal in small offices or awkward shaped areas such as corridors or an alcove. ‘Slide a Side’ units roll to the side manually. A simple manual, push, pull operation ideal where floor space restrictions inhibit the use of mobile shelving. Providing an increase in storage capacity of between 75% and 90% over conventional static shelving by simply doubling the number of units against a wall. A Slide a Side or Glide a Side system can be extended, reduced or relocated with a minimum amount of disruption.

Additional benefits of mobile shelving systems include the efficient location of items and security - mobile units can be closed and locked (all except the slide a side system) together to prevent unauthorised access. Mobile shelving or roller racking provides much more efficient space utilisation compared to static shelving or conventional filing solutions such as filing cabinets and cupboards. As well as saving space, mobile storage systems are ideal where sensitive or expensive items are stored because the shelving can be closed up and locked to restrict access.
